Terms of Use
Effective date: October 8, 2026 · Last updated: October 8, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and iComponent Software Solutions Inc., a Massachusetts corporation (“iComponent”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of Nodworthy — our AI-visibility audit service at nodworthy.ai — the reports we deliver, and anything you buy from us.
By using the site, requesting a scan, or buying an audit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who may use Nodworthy
Nodworthy is a service for businesses. You may use it only if you are at least 18 years old and you are the owner of the business being audited or someone authorized to act for it. You may not request an audit of a business you have no connection to.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the business details you give us. Our measurements are only as good as the name, address, website and category we were told to measure.
2. What the service is
The Glance (free). We put a set of questions to Google AI, and some of them to ChatGPT and Claude as well, record what came back, and email you a summary of whether your business was named and who was named instead. Free scans are limited to a small number per website and per mailbox each day.
The Full Nod (paid, one-off). The paid audit puts every question to every assistant we measure, records what each one actually said, and returns every finding sorted by who does the work. Where we measured a change on your own site, the finding names the page and the number to reach. One paid audit measures one location. If your business has more than one, the report names the others and each one is a separate audit. Price is shown at checkout. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it renews nothing.
How a paid audit is delivered. Your audit starts as soon as your payment clears. It reads your website and then asks you to confirm what it found — your business name, what you sell and where you are — and it does not measure anything until you have. We email you when it is ready for you. From there it runs without waiting for anyone: when it finishes we email you a private link to your report. If we cannot complete the audit properly, we hold the report back instead of sending it, and a person contacts you within one business day. That link works for 90 days and anyone who has the link can open it, so treat it as confidential.
Something More. Consulting and other engagements beyond the audit are quoted separately and governed by their own agreement, not these Terms.
3. Your account
Accounts are opened with an email address and a sign-in link — there is no password. Sign-in links are single-use and expire quickly; a signed-in session lasts 30 days. Anyone with access to your email can access your account, so keep it secure and tell us if you think someone else has.
4. Your report, and what you may do with it
The report is yours to use in your business. Specifically, when your payment is complete we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the report and its findings internally for the business it names, for as long as you like. That includes sharing it with your own staff and with a developer, agency or contractor you engage to implement it.
You may not:
- resell, license, or distribute the report, or publish it in full to the public;
- use it to provide AI-visibility audits or a similar service to anyone else, or as material for a product that competes with Nodworthy;
- remove the notices and identifiers it carries;
- share your report link publicly, or post it anywhere it can be indexed.
The license depends on the payment. If your payment is refunded, reversed, or successfully disputed for any reason, the license in this section ends on the date of the refund or reversal. From that point you have no right to use, keep, or act on the report, and you agree to stop using it and delete the copies you hold. Continuing to use a report you have been refunded for is a breach of these Terms and an infringement of our copyright in it.
When we refund you, the report link we sent you stops working.
Quoting a short extract with attribution — a finding, a figure — is fine and always was.
5. Payment, delivery, and when the work is done
Payment is taken at checkout by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
The audit is a digital service performed for you individually. When you buy it, you are asking us to start work, and you agree that:
- we begin as soon as your payment clears, without waiting out any cancellation period;
- the work is performed when the audit runs, and
- delivery is complete when we email your report link.
Once delivery is complete, the service has been provided in full. Section 6 is the only route to a refund after that point.
6. Refunds and our money-back guarantee
We would rather fix a problem than keep money we did not earn. We would also rather not fund free reports. So the guarantee names what it covers.
6.1 If we cannot audit you at all — full refund, no questions
If your website is unreachable, or there are no findable listings for your business, or we otherwise cannot run a meaningful audit, we refund you in full and tell you why. We do this before delivery and you do not have to ask.
6.2 There is no pre-start cancellation window
Your audit starts as soon as your payment clears, which is what you asked for in section 5, so there is no period before it begins in which you can change your mind. If something is wrong with your order, send us a message — we would always rather sort it out than keep money we have not earned — and section 6.3 is the guarantee that applies once your report has been delivered.
6.3 After delivery — 14 days, for a defined problem
Within 14 days of the date we email your report, we will refund your purchase in full if any of the following is true:
- the report is materially about the wrong business;
- the report materially misstates what an AI assistant said about you — for example it records you as absent from an answer that in fact named you; or
- the report contains no finding you or your developer could act on.
To claim, send us a message within the 14 days and tell us which of (a), (b) or (c) applies and where. We will answer within three business days. We may choose to correct the report or re-run the audit instead of refunding, and if we do, we will do it within ten business days; if that does not resolve the problem, we refund you.
6.4 What is not covered by 6.3
The audit measures how AI assistants describe your business. An accurate report is not a defective one, even when the answer is unwelcome. So the following are not grounds for a refund under 6.3:
- being unhappy with what the measurements found — for example learning that you are rarely named, or that a competitor is named instead;
- deciding not to implement the recommendations, or not having the resources to;
- your AI visibility not improving, or improving more slowly than you hoped, after you implemented them (see section 8 — we do not promise outcomes);
- changing your mind after delivery;
- a repeat purchase you made deliberately and then reconsidered.
6.5 One claim
The guarantee in 6.3 may be claimed once per customer. If we refund you under 6.3, we may decline to sell you the same audit for the same business again. We may also decline any purchase we believe is being made to obtain a report and reverse the payment.
6.6 How a refund is made
Refunds go back to the card or method you paid with, and typically reach it within a few business days. When we refund you, the license in section 4 ends — see that section.
6.7 Outside the window
After 14 days we are not obliged to refund a delivered report. We may still choose to, case by case, and doing so once does not commit us to it.
7. If you have a problem with a charge
Contact us first. Send us a message and a person will answer within three business days. Almost everything is faster to fix this way than through your bank.
If you file a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank without contacting us first, you are in breach of these Terms. We will respond to the dispute with our record of the transaction and the delivery, which normally includes: the date and time of your order, your acceptance of these Terms at checkout and when you gave it, the business details you gave us, the audit we ran, the report we produced, the address we sent it to and when, and these Terms as they stood when you bought.
While a payment of yours is reversed or under dispute, we may suspend your account and decline further orders. The license consequences in section 4 apply on the same terms as a refund.
8. What we measure, and what we do not promise
AI assistants are third-party systems we do not own or control. What they say changes with their models, their data, their prompts, and the day. So:
- A report is a point-in-time measurement, not a permanent description. Re-running the same audit later can legitimately produce different answers.
- Answers from these systems are not deterministic. We record what we observed on the questions we asked, from the vantage point we asked them.
- We do not promise any outcome. Nothing in a report is a guarantee that your business will be named, ranked, recommended, or found by any assistant, or that you will get traffic, leads, customers, or revenue. Implementing our recommendations may not change what an assistant says.
- A report is information and analysis for your own decisions. It is not legal, financial, or professional marketing advice, and we are not acting as your agency.
- We use third-party data providers for parts of the measurement, and their coverage has limits.
9. Your information
What we collect and what we do with it is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
To run an audit you give us your business details and permission to use them and publicly available information about your business for that purpose. We may use aggregated, de-identified measurements to improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
10. Our intellectual property
The site, the report format, our question sets, our methodology, our software, and the Nodworthy name and marks are ours and stay ours. Section 4 grants you a license to your report; nothing else here grants you a license to anything.
Facts about your own business are yours. Our analysis of them is ours, licensed to you under section 4.
11. Things you may not do
Do not: scrape or bulk-download the site; try to reach reports, accounts or data that are not yours; probe or interfere with our systems; reverse-engineer the service; open free scans beyond the daily limit, or use false details to get around it; use the service to build a competing product; or use it for anything unlawful.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Nodworthy at any time. We may suspend or close an account, and decline to sell to someone, if these Terms are breached, if a payment is reversed, if the service is being abused, or if we are required to. If we close your account without cause and you have paid for an audit we have not delivered, we refund it.
Section 4’s license conditions, section 10, section 13, section 14, section 15 and section 17 survive the end of this agreement.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
The service and the reports are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any measurement is complete. Some states do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost customers, lost data, or loss of goodwill, even if told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service or a report is limited to the amount you paid us for the audit the claim relates to.
15. Indemnification
You will indemnify us against claims and costs arising from business details you gave us being inaccurate or not yours to give, from your use of a report in breach of section 4, or from your breach of these Terms.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, tell account holders by email. Changes apply to purchases made after they take effect — the version of these Terms in force when you bought an audit is the version that governs that purchase. We keep a dated record of every published version, and will give you the one that applied to your purchase on request.
17. Governing law and where disputes are heard
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
18. The rest
These Terms, plus the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. We may assign these Terms to a successor if the business is sold; you may not assign them without our consent. Not enforcing something once is not a waiver of it. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control. Nothing here makes us partners, agents, or employees of each other.
